We are fortunate to be able to source pigs and sheep from the Chinchilla area for our shop, supporting farmers and their families. Having Truly FRESH lamb, pork and beef makes for delicious home cooked meals, once you taste the difference you will never go back.

What age are the cattle?
Our steers are generally aged between 16 and 24 months at processing. We age the beef for at least 7 days before breaking it down into the various order requirements. This all results in tender, juicy, delicious beef.
How fresh is our meat?
AJ’s sources our beef, lamb and pork locally and processed to give you the freshest meat. Any fresher and it would be mooing, baaing or oinking at you! We deliver directly from the farmer, to our butcher shop to you!
How do I pay?
One of AJ’s Friendly staff will ring and confirm your order the day before delivery and collect your card details. Your card will be charged for your delicious meat order on delivery day once meat has been weighed. Meat will not be delivered without payment. Card details are not stored and destroyed after processing for your security.
How is my ordered delivered?
Once your order is prepared, it is packed into boxes, sealed and then transported in a refrigerated AJs vehicle which is registered with Food Safe Queensland. This ensures the goods are delivered to you meeting national food safety standards. We can provide insulated polyboxes which is a temporary cold-store solution to help you get it home with this heat. Ideally your order should be transferred to a refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible.
When do you deliver?
Theodore, Moura, Banana deliveries are weekly and Wandoan deliveries are fortnightly. We’ll contact you to arrange a delivery time. Delivery generally takes place on after lunch. If your meeting us in town to pick up your order a confirmation text of time will be sent on the day. As our meat is delivered fresh. Alternatively we can deliver to your work place. You’ll just need to take an esky or two depending on the size of your order.
What Happens if I’m Not Home when my delivery arrives?
Ideally the order should be placed in the fridge immediately upon receiving. Therefore it is best to have the order delivered to an address where someone will be available to receive it. Deliveries can be made to a place of work.
We realise that certain situations are unavoidable and sometimes, you may not be available to receive your order. If nobody is available to take collection of the order, we will do our best to contact you on the number you provide us to discuss a suitable place for us to leave your order. If instructed, we can leave your order at an alternative place designated by you.
Once your order has been delivered, it is no longer the responsibility of AJ’s Country Meats. All risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you once we have handed over the goods.
If instructed before we leave for delivery we can pack your order into insulated polybox with ice packs and this will keep your order at a suitable temperature for up to 2 hours (depending on the weather).
Where do you deliver?
We offer delivery to the Theodore, Banana, Moura & Wandoan areas. We are expanding to new areas send an expression of interest to us so we can keep you informed.
